"THERE IS HOPE for you in Jesus Christ, Benjamin," said Uncle Cletus as he looked with tears into Benjamin's eyes.
"I know. I just don't think I can live the Christian life. It seems so hard!"
"Benjamin, we are not saved by LIVING like Christians. We are saved by BELIEVING like Christians. Salvation from sin is a gift of God given to all who believe in Jesus for it. The Bible says, 'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' (John 3:16) Simple faith in Jesus Christ brings eternal salvation to every sinner, including you!"
The hand began to write on the wall of Benjamin's tomb again. This time, in blood-red ink, it wrote the word, ATONEMENT.
